Department of Mobility presents a new web
From 3rd November 2015 is online a new version for Granada Department of Mobility website.
In March 2010 began the activity of the Mobility Center of City of Granada publishing information about traffic in the Internet by Twitter account @cgimgranada. We inform about traffic conditions, cuts and more afections. We have sent more than 23000 tweets. A few months later we started to use Facebook too to send news about traffic.
In January 2011 we presented www.movilidadgranada.com (including .org and .es domains) as a search tool for traffic conditions and get info related with Mobility in Granada like restricted access areas, public transport, parking, etc.
The number of visits in our web from other countries was high, so it was necessary to publish in other languages. We start with English because 10% of our visits were from people with their browsers in this language, and our design its prepared for other languages in advance.
This evolution in our web design make us to change completely webpage structure, being our goals: navigability, accessibility and usability, and really focus on what people search for on our web.
Improvements
English web
It is our best benefit. Every content was translated to English, not only static info, every dinamic information that we generate is translated to English: traffic cuts, news, public transport notices, etc.

We have reduced to 6 main areas, according to what people was searching in our web: Traffic, restricted access, itineraries (how to get in/out), public transport, parking and road safety.
