Corpus Festivity in Granada
From 15 to 22 June 2019 celebrates the Corpus Festivity in Granada.
Events
The Wednesday of the fair, at mid-morning, La Tarasca, a mannequin wearing the clothes that will be fashionable in the following season, walks through the city on the back of a fierce dragon that seems to be surrendered at his feet. Thus the best kept secret, until its exit, is the suit that will wear that day. La Tarasca, it can be said, is the pagan counterpoint to the religious festival.
On Thursday, June 20, the procession of the Corpus is celebrated, starting at 10:30 am, with the traffic cut in the area at approximately 9:20 hours.

On the occasion of the official lighting of the fairground lighting the stop of the lines of the extraordinary service to the Fair will be made, provisionally, in the street Gobernador Pedro Temboury, since the agglomeration of people who are concentrated in the street of the Casería del Cerro street forces the Local police to close it to traffic between 23:00 and 01:00 hours, approximately.
The ticket payment of the transport service to the Fair can be made in cash (2.00 euros) or through the bonus: Credibús, Youth Bonus, Disabled Bonus or Universitary Bonus; in which case the established amount of 2.00 is applied to the cancellation. For this reason it is not possible to cancel the same service with Monthly card nor disabled people bonus nor pensioner.

These services and the number of vehicles may be modified as they go developing them, in more or less vehicles, as well as modifying in a timely manner the itineraries according to demand, all by direct order of the Management of the Fair at Concessionaire.
The vehicles will have a capacity of at least 72 places.
Metro of Granada
SPECIAL SCHEDULEThe Metro of Granada will extend the schedule of commercial service during the Corpus Christi Fair of Granada 2019.
On Saturday, June 15, uninterrupted service begins from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm on Monday, June 17.
On June 17 and 18, the service end-time is extended, which will last until 2:00 a.m.
From Wednesday, June 19, the Metropolitan of Granada will provide 24-hour uninterrupted service until Sunday, June 23, at 11:00 p.m.

The start and end times of the service correspond to departures of trains from the terminal stops of the line in Albolote and Armilla.
In addition, in order to encourage the use of public transport in the metropolitan area of Granada during the festivities of the 2019 Corpus Fair, an increase in the frequency of trains passing is scheduled at the time intervals in which foresees more influx of public. These schedules and frequencies are approximate, since they depend on different circumstances such as the availability of units, incidents with road traffic, withholding at stops, etc.

Access to the fairground
Itinerary of access to the Ferial:
1. The use of public transport is recommended.
2. With a private vehicle, use A-44 highway, both for the outbound and for the return.
3. Drivers are requested to attend at all times the indications of the Local Police, which may change itineraries or restrict access through certain routes.
4. Casería del Cerro Street (the one on the Portada del Ferial) will have a unique meaning from Avenida Juan Pablo II to Joaquina Eguaras. Only public transport, vehicles of people with reduced mobility and authorized vehicles may circulate through it; leaving the lanes on the right side exclusively for the urban collective public transport and access to the garages of that street, and those on the left side for taxis, disabled people and authorized vehicles.
