6000 Blue Zone Vouchers to promote local trade

The Major of Granada delivers among the businesses of the neighbourhood 6.000 vouchers for their customers to park in blue zone.

The Major of Granada is going to deliver among businesses of the neighbourhood with rotation regulated parking, know us ORA Zone, 6.000 1€ vouchers for their customers to pay blue zone. This measure, as a part of municipal campaign Live, Walk, Breathe Granada, has been presente by the Major, Francisco Cuenca, on a visit to Plaza de Toros-Doctores-San Lázaro neighbourhood.

The Major, has visited the neighbourhood with the councellor of Mobility and Trade, Raquel Ruz and Eduardo Castillo; president of the Trade Association of the area, Francisco Prieto, and some neighbourhood representatives, has pointed out the commitment of the Major with small businesses and self-employed people. In Granada, local trade means 40 per cent business activity and employes 12.000 persons, has reminded, and what we pretend is, on one side, the facility of payment when parking in blue zone around small business, and, om the other, improve mobility in neighbourhoods.

Delivered to small shops through Provincial Federation and Municipal Trade Federation, vouchers add money to the balance in mobile app to pay ORA Zone, as Cuenca explained. This is, once customer has the voucher, using QR charge the amount of money in the app ElParking. This way, balance will be credited to, whenever you like, use this one hour free bonification in local businesses. This measure is going to be implemented in all neighbourhoods of the city, helping self-employed people and small business, allowing a parking rotation that means a better mobility in our neighbourhoods.

Also, the Major has reminded that Granada has ablue voucher that allows residents of any district of the capital paying 12, or 13 euros month to park in blue zone in their own neighbourhood.

Finally, among objectives of the campaing Live, Walk, Breathe Granada, that has run the Mayor of the city, Francisco Cuenca has reaffirmed the commitment of Government Team to promote and support local businesses and raise awareness on citizens about benefits when travelling on foot.
